POSTCARDING WORKS!

Where to Source Postcards & Stamps

Stamps: Buy postcard stamps at your local post office or online from the U.S. Post Office; Postcard stamps are ‘forever’ stamps, meaning once you buy them, they are good to use even if rates increase. Prices go up regularly so you might want to stock up! Warning: Online options for buying stamps below their value are scams.

Postcards: You can choose your postcards and order them anywhere or make your own: flowers, landscapes, ones that say “Vote” or a similar simple message. Please avoid pictures of people, controversial statements on the postcard design, and any nudity, even if represented in a painting or picture of a statue. Also please don’t use postcards that other organizations have given you for their messages and efforts – please check in with those organizations before using them for another purpose. Many people prefer postcards that allow you to fill in the address on one side and write the message on the other side.We welcome your input on other ideas!

  • You may be able to buy blank pre-stamped postcards online from the U.S. Post Office. Note USPS may take some time to fill your order. You can also check with your local post office!

  • T. Marie Stationary offers a 10% discount coupon code with a minimum of $20 per order to our volunteers. Visit their website https://tmarie.co  and enter the code “ACTIVATEAMERICA” at checkout to redeem the discount. They have Spanish and English-language options.

  • Create Protest sells beautiful postcards using designs by local artists, who share in the proceeds: https://createprotest.com

  • You can make your own postcards from card stock and decorate them yourself. Some folks use stamps or hand-drawn designs. For details on the size and types of paper to use: First Class Mail. Email us for templates if you want to use ours or invent your own design!
